Leftover from the P47 reconstruction project now on show at the AAM?
It used a wing from a former Dutch tech university among other things.

Got the word back on Rattray and apparently there’s definitely bits of Barra’ up there but I’m told the loch is a serious nature reserve nowadays and pulling it apart in search of battered tinware would not be looked on favourably.
Can’t see the problem, myself. After all, the native flora and fauna wasn’t carried there by men in space suits, it grew there, all on its own – it’d soon get over a few geordies in waders plodging about just as it got over some blokes in the forties pushing dead Barra’s into the water.

My experience with nature reserves is that they re usually very positive regarding permission.
As long as you make perfectly clear what you are going to do. Still have to get in touch
Regarding that Dornier 215 wreck hmmm

Can’t the Heritage lottery grant a similar amount to help the Stirling and Whitley projects?

Is this the same 109 they tried to remove the emblem with a canopener? Remember seing a few pics
Of this deed somewhere, looks like the traces can be seen as a thick black surround on the right of the emblem.

Got the latest issue of FlyPast today. The Hampden cockpit was in it, thanks Roger, but to set things
    Straight.
The cockpit is not built for the ARG museum, It is located there but is my personal project which the
museum has nothing to do with. As is the Halifax cockpit.
They have been so generous to let me have it built there.

IIRC the Potez cockpit was advertised for sale recently. Nice what you can do with
    Some creativity.

    John,
Is that the same system as the valve connected to the rudderpedals for steering?
