    Still waiting for the boo…k to arrive. The later Griffon Spits ooze power and their preservation/recovery stories are less known.

    Hi Elliott,
    Not at the moment as we are still trying to get the local authorities off their bums to have it recovered.
    The recession/ crisis doesn’t help, but then again when life is good they aren’t getting off their
    Backsides too. Problem is money. If there was an European fund for these cases they would
    Be recovered within days.
    Six missing that are not anymore but nobody with the power to change things cares.
    Pity really.

    OTU units were very imporant and even participated sometimes operationally.
    But they were in bomber command camoufage, the silver livery with yellow band
    Was used postwar, so not appropriate if you want to highlight the enormous
    Effort to train the wartime crew.
    So tell me if this is a political decision……..
