I assume this is to allow Airbus to integrate the fix for the wing rib feet cracking issue, before delivery.
It’s turning out to be quite a headache for Airbus.
I do like these retro liveries. What’s the story with the Irish reg?

I don’t think any of the manufacturers out there have all their ducks in a row all of the time. At Airbus the A320/A330/A350 are selling well, and the A380 less so. Over at Boeing, the 737/787/777 are selling well, with the 747/767 less so. You could argue if the A380 didn’t appear, the 747 would be selling much better, – would Boeing have done the 747-8 update?
It is worth noting that twelve years after launch, the Boeing 747 had orders for 379 aircraft, the A380 has 257. I think that is a remarkable number given that airline industry as it stands. The industry now has large twins that are squeezing the market from below, and squeezed from the side by the new 747. If you take a look at the orders for the 747, it was mainly ordered a couple at a time.
I don’t think the A380 is out of the woods, but it is the A model and as with any A model, there is room for improvement.
I have to agree as well, although I did try signing up.
I’d like to point out that the on the home page, there are two links for donating. One is list in all the menu sections and doesn’t jump out at you. The other, well that is at the bottom of the page.
There are two reasons people will want to visit your website; projects updates and donations.
Make it easy for them. ๐

Looks like the have changed the design of section 48, and got rid of that awful APU inlet.

Very true J Boyle. Another thing that strikes me about the A320NEO and the B737NE is that they are going to be heavier, and thus likely to only offer gains in the longer routes of the short-haul market. On that basis โ and with Airbus stating that they will still offer the A320OEO alongside the NEO โ it is safe to say the standard versions will still be produced for some time yet.
Very nice, interesting traffic. Even so, the one that stuck out was the LH A320 with newer-style CFM56sโฆwell, for LH that is.
Excellent news! Won’t be long until their are hundreds in service.
I love the 4th piccy with the mech/tech on the steps at the engine.
