Another RR with an uncontained failure.
I seem to recall a 747-400 (RB211-524), and an A330-200 (Trent 700) suffering similar faults.
Although, it does look like it is the turbine section which has suffered the failure.
Will be interesting to see what RR’s response is.
This one has been around for a while. Still, what a mess to get into, and out of!
I would question Airbus’s ability to deliver if they did order the A320.
I do see them ordering the A321NEO as the second part of their order.
