So whats the argument against this paint scheme then Its a ‘bit in yer face’ as someones already said but at least people will see it fly
Red Bull obviously think the Vixen is an ideal billboard and if it attracts interest from the general public in avaition and the British warbird scene then thats got to be good for the preservation of these aircraft.
What is the alternative? Do the owners of these Aircraft refuse sponsorship, stick rigidly to the “authentic” markings and stand back and watch the airframe rot away because its to costly to maintain.
At least the puriests out there could look back at their photos,after the scrapmans had his day and say to the younger generation “well I remember when that aircraft flew and it was always kept in its ‘original markings’!”
Next you’ll be saying it was outragous for Spencer Flack to have Painted his Spit and Sea fury red:p
