I Quiet agree with you Neilly,I think the American museum is to crowded. The building is an architects dream but an aircraft enthusiasts nightmare you can’t see the Aircraft at there best. All the work the engineers and volunteers put into the B-25 and Grumman Avenger just to hang from the ceiling. I think there is a case for making fibre glass replicas (like the P-51D) they would be just as good less weight on the structure (who would know), and leave the genuine article in the Hangers with oilly drip trays where they belong at least you can push them outside in the summer for the punters to photograph. What is this fasination for drilling holes through spars(sheer vandilism if you ask me!) and rendering them near useless if there is any chance of making them airworthy in the future a few bolt holes puts pay to that.x(

No the TFC indian head is taken from the laffiette squadrons, the american pilots that flew with the french during the first world war.
The marking of this A/C are from the 56th FG 61st FSqn the A/C was called “Big Chief”. The fighter ace Cpt Robert S, Johnson flew with the code HV-P but I don’t think this was one of his aircraft.

I think probably jar jar binks (in a white wine sauce!)
I don’t think wookies would taste very good as they are said to be around 200 years old, so that would make them a bit chewie!!(sorry I couldn’t resist the pun!!):9

RE: Dumb things you did as a kid.

At the age of twelve I was the youngest of our group of friends so it was me who was nominated to try things out first.
One summer holiday one of the older guys bought an old Francis Barnet motorbike which we all learned to ride and used to do a great impression of Steve McQueen riding across Salibury Plain!
One evening it was decided that we should take turns in riding around the farm yard where the bike was kept, in one gate and out the other, with the rest of the gang sitting on the top of a haystack shooting at the rider with air-rifles (seemed quit sensible at the time!!).
I when first (riding like a maniac) and was so pleased no one had managed to shot me that I went up the bank at the side of the farm track and ripped open the top of my knee on an iron bar sticking out of the ground. (Never liked the purple cords anyway!!)
And spent a happy evening in Salisbury casualty dept. and missed the start of school (shame) 🙂

RE: The Washington Sniper —- Death???

I’m with wombat and Kev 35 on this. they have both stated their cases and I’ve nothing to add ,but this question of the killers ‘Human rights’ as quoted by Rabie,I say again they revoke any rights when they commit the crime, society does not owe them anything, and if you imprison them for ten years and let them out in five what is the point of setting the sentence in the first place and what justice is it to the victims and their families.

Have you ever heard of a majority verdict? If there is not a unanimous decision then there should be life inprisonment.
If the evidence is clearly proven that they committed the crime then the death penalty should stand.
Or do you believe in ‘Sorry I didn’t mean to’ as a defence and let them go!
Are you in that case willing to have them live next door to you ?
How safe would your children be with a child killer as a neighbour?
