An IMC fly-in today, I reckon.

Just luck of the draw, I recall some super VAC January fly-ins at Finmere on really sparkling winter days.

Very IMC I’m afraid…only thing we saw flying was RobinsonR44 helicopter overflying quite low,but continuing on it’s way.
Here’s hoping for more to wave my arms at in February

If we are having a Fly-In then an event like Abingdon is not ideal.

I’d suggest we choose the location based on one of the free landings vouchers?

    OK….just a thought!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, how about it chaps & chapettes?
See how many names we get then we can come up with a venue that’s central for all of us although I have to do my 300nm cross country for my CPL so personally distance is not an issue, I will rule out Scotland though 😉

    Names below 🙂

Why not centre it on Abingdon Fayre Air & Country Show on 30 April(http://www.abingdonfayre.com)

I see you’re at Hungerford, matey…what you doing New Year’s Day?
The reason I ask is that there’s a fly-in at Popham, and the Airfield Manager there(Dick Richardson…a very nice chap) used to be Manager at Strathallan……….
Might be worth a run down there and a chat

Brings back memories – one of the first bridges of its type.

Great talk last night Melvyn – even my dad enjoyed it and they don’t call him Meldrew for nothing 🙂

Just don’t go getting chased by Polar Bears 😉 😉
(assuming you heard the same story we did in August???)
