From the Concorde SST site
She will initially go on display alongside the carrier, but preliminary plans have been mooted that will see her eventually on display on the quayside in a special glass built building to protect her from the elements of the Atlantic Ocean
Maybe she is not going to rot afterall
Did you see the NEW Mosquito & Beaufighter brakes he also has on ebay ? & F-4 & Canberra wheels, & B-29 ASI.
How about for something VERY different a combination of alterative markings / engine & aircraft !

Using the the arrows in the left hand column you can move any direction you like on the photo, & zoom in or out by using the + or – or the scale dropdown

Errr… I obviously should have said that, because that is what my link is in my earlier reply, it goes directly to the aerial photo of DX.
For a vertical view of DX which you can zoom in & out of have a look at DX from space
I don’t know the history of Bob & his Mustang, but I could fully understand if he has a sentimental attachment to it & so has given it to the RAFM where it will stay ‘forever’ ? protected rather than a new owner having an accident & destroying it. If its as original as others have said then that is another reason for it to be in a museum for as time goes by the flyers will become less & less original (some of them must already be nearly new & doesn’t that make them….um.. replicas ?)
Yes I agree with MarkV that most visitors would not be bothered/notice let alone understand original v restored or even a glass full-size model. But that dosent mean that it should not be there.
1 less flying Mustang is hardly a disaster out of how many still flying ?
I to was puzzled at the ‘No photos’ at the B of B museum,
In keeping with common practice, on grounds of both security and copyright, we regret that no cameras, video recorders or any other types of recording equipment (including notebooks) are allowed in the Museum.
In common with who ?
Is it just me , but do so many replicas ‘full size models’ ? warrant such care & wouldn’t it be the case that ‘less is more’ eg a couple less models oops I mean replicas on display in the hanger would mean those left could be better displayed rather than them squashed up facing away from you ?
With parts from over 600 crashed aircraft, haven’t they got enough parts to build at least 1 real aircraft ?
Sorry for being so cynical, but NO photography makes me ????

Yes thats it, a Percival P.
Flood
Yes thats definitely what was in the film,
Yes I saw some of the film & had the same thoughts, best guess would be a Percival Prentice, I vaugely remember some coverted into ‘Stukas’ for a film, maybe this was left over ?.
Amazing continuity, B of B shots (?) of Casa (twin engine) being shot down to single engine ‘Stuka’ wreckage.

I’ve just learnt to post pics on another forum, I use Cannons basic zoombrowser pic. software, to reduce in size I send the pic to myself by email, then save in ‘my pictures’, then use ‘attach file’ in post reply on this forum (same as my other forum) I use ‘browse’ to look for the pic I have saved in ‘my pictures’, & simply click on that pic. & its done .
Well I hope so ! So heres my first pic. on this forum. maybe !
