It is said the Tornado flew at 1200 – 1300 m height (above see level), which must looks as shown bellow.
Swiss military pilot Rudolf Läubli (who I happen to know myself) mentioned that the Swiss airforce would not fly that low through a mountain valley!
a first question
This is a problem when the aircraft is made from a lot of CFC rather than aluminum. Aluminum can conduct the lightning back to the earth.
… but only when the aircraft sits on the earth. Therefore my question: did this occur on earth or during flight?
How much possibility of these are Chinese next generation jetfighter?
The first one called Wei Long? The Second one called Xue Xiao?
Who know what does those mean?
It means, it’s allready flying !! Havn’t you been told?
… and P.S.: its more than just PS
see here:
Definitely NOT funny!
NATO AWACS base Geilenkirchen (Germany)
what do they have to hide here?
How to keep it cool…
and other tricks in designing FALCON, like … testing an inward-turning, or axisymmetric, scramjet inlet under the Falcon combined-cycle engine technology programme.
The designation for an F16 is “Fighting Falcon ” and confuses the search engine nothing to do with what I’m looking for anyway thanx
As FALCON means “Force Application and Launch from CONUS”, try a search with this string.
A good source, as usual, is: http://www.globalsecurity.org/space/systems/falcon.htm
so why don’t you try the search function on FALCON?
Chinese Stealth Bomber
This is a conceptual drawing of a chinese stealth bomber I found somewhere on the net:
That’s Lockheed’s SENIOR PEG ATB design, the loser in the B-2 competition.
But the dark plane in the first two pics is definitely not SENIOR PEG which would be easy to recognise because of it’s funny tail!
Scramjet propulsion with anti-gravity hypersonic bomber?
i’m already jealous, this is making me more.
sorry i’m worst then girls when it comes to cool looking planes.
looks more like subsonic high-flying UAV with landing lights on…
This silouette reminds me more of something that has been called
Lockheed Tier 3 Quartz
who can scan a cutaway of YF-23 as big as possible to me? You would send to my emailbox frank_rousseau1974@yahoo.com
If this exists – I have never seen one – why not post it here for all of us?
Allwetterjagdflugzeug
Allwetterabfangjaeger
let’s not exaggerate and go back to things like the

F-117 Retirement
the year 2008 is from here:
http://www.reviewjournal.com/lvrj_home/2006/Feb-16-Thu-006/news/5907352.html
but I would not be surprised if it’s earlier. The maintenance cost must be prohibitive an the technological advance (of 1. generation stealth) is fading away
It would probably end up looking something like this –
The FB-22 perhaps has the potential to become what in another thread of this forum has been called “the 2018 bomber”. What I meant with my pic (of the A-17 or however it might been named) was something that “could be in service since the mid ’90s”, as WP840 said.
This aircraft, a “brother of YF-23”, is clearly based on 1990 technology, with convectional engines and max. speed of M 1,5 – 2. Therefore it is definitely not the rumoured AURORA!
