Blimey, why don’t I have that kind of luck!
Can’t tell which mark they are but hopefully HFL will have spotted this.

I guess any accompanying paperwork (or not) will dictate cost and demand.

I remember a ‘Flight’ edition in the late ’80s advertising a large stock of Double Mambas, be interesting if these are amongst those!

Thanks Rob, I will definitely try and get pics of the Gannet, in fact I have a funny feeling that I may even end up performing escort duties (oo err!) for the last bit of its journey!
The bits I have seen of the Gannet are in remarkably good condition, you wouldn’t believe that it was a Cornish gate guard at one time!

I can’t talk for HFL, but I believe the propellors are still fitted and that they are still sourcing those ellusive AEW.3 prop spanners and kit.

Note the bracket for a Verey pistol on the RHS and a bracket for the Verey cartridges across the front – which suggests it’s from a Mk V or earlier although I’ve never seen that double stacking arrangement before

I mentioned that on the other forum, I wondered if the double row would be unique to a particular mark?

    The Vampire looks absolutely superb.

Absolutely, if that is a static restoration it must surely be ‘benchmark’, at least for the type.

Seems to be the word of the moment, not sure whether to blame the Muppets or Steve Wright!

Excellent update and pics, apart from the fact that there is so much in the shot you would never guess that the Victor & Nimrod picture is stitched together!

A question from someone with absolutely no understanding of flying clothing at all, what does this item do, and why the variations?

    Very, very soon one hopes!

Interesting article and footage, you can see why Russian aircraft are made the way that they are when you see those conditions!

If these museums are not going to allow people access to the information they have been gathering and preserving, what is the point in gathering and preserving it? They might as well close down and burn all the paperwork.

AHB (and TNA) aren’t museums of course, my understanding is that the museums only receive from the services what they can copy to the public, for example airfield plans of closed stations only, however as noted above it seems like extra restrictions are coming into play.

Well Hunter Flying Limited have pretty much moved in now, John and Nadine and the crew will bring a much needed fresh boost to the flagging airfield I feel.:)
Most of the Hunters and Yaks have arrived, 40% of the Gannet appears to be here with the main fuselage structure due in on a low loader one weekend soon.
Managed to get in the way a bit (along with Timbo!) on Saturday and get some pics.

Is it me, or is this forum getting risk/fun/adventure/enjoyment adverse!

People Like to work with, learn from, and exhibit all sorts of items that don’t always do as predicted – bet it’s a more fulfilled life than standing back and watching though.

I always thought Pete was the older chap on the right outside his house running the engine, who is not in the original top film, I know him, he lives near my mums.

Very badly worded on my part, but the same chap (in blue overalls) appears in both videos, so by association I would think he knows what he is doing.

Some of Spitfiremans antics far exceed the Muppet mantel 😀

That reminds me, I bumped into a couple with association to Hunters and Exeter on Sunday, and they knew Spitfireman years ago (Plymouth Lightning club), she actually said that she remembers him for blowing things up!
