There is only one Lincoln in the UK and that is RF398 at RAFM Cosford.
There’s also RE408/B-010 on display in Argentina, they are the only complete Lincolns, there are major parts of one for restoration in Australia.

The sad thing here is watching people wasting wise words on an unreleased film, when more interesting factual aviation threads seem to get little attention.
If this was another subject, say what constitutes a real Spitfire restoration, or the service potential of the TSR-2 than I could see how those subjects can be argued to the death, but something as subjective as a film, which is either or both entertainment and art, can not be.
I see mention of pandering to the proles, well proles go to cinemas and buy dvds, in fact (god forbid!) some view forums.

Even the aviation movie greats have mistakes or deliberate departures from real life or the story they are based on, they are just entertainment,
As aircraft enthusiasts we can choose to watch this and either enjoy it as an evening out, or we can tear it apart for it’s lack of accuracy and a waste of £7.00.
The general public can go and watch it, and either love it for it’s entertainment value, in which case if they are sufficiently interested in the subject can read up and learn more about the real story (which I know nothing of) and we may gain a few more interested bods, or they will be bored by it and the film sinks without trace.

Spent the day at Warwick castle and saw a Percival Prentice (guessing Coventry’s example?) flying over a couple of times, seemed quite close from the top of the highest tower!:)

I really hope that this aircraft can one day get a cover over it’s head, personally I consider it the most valuable of service aircraft on display in the UK and hope it’s around for the rest of my lifetime.

I remember seeing it at Farnborough, and I spoke to the late Ian Chichester-Miles who was standing with his design, and thinking that it was a Planet Satellite of the jet age, ie great vision and design, but possibly no market.
