The news of the bombing in Oslo centre is shocking enough, but the apparent cool and deliberate actions of the gunman and horrendously helpless situation for the people on that island is beyond any normal comprehension.
Unbelievable that this can happen within such a peaceful and organised nation.
I know there are a handful of forumites from Norway in historic, best wishes to the Norwegian people and anyone here with family and friend over there.

Does anyone know how different the B.2 wing is from the B.1, or if there are any detailed drawings around of the B.2?
In photos the wings look of very similar planform and thickness etc, so was it just a case of beefed up internal structure/spars with the ‘kauchman carrots’/undercarriage pods added?
If so it would be a relatively easy kit mod, and one for the aftermarket accessory suppliers to tackle perhaps?

Re the kit it looks fantastic to me and the production decals have been corrected, refuelling probe will be easy to make as the cap over the fairing is a separate piece, having a quick scan through published and internet pics it looks as if it wasn’t fitted that often.

    Just a little update;

I am in the process of going through the terrific response to this thread and I aim to produce a spreadsheet with as many as possible included.
Dare I say? There will be errors, either in the original data or my transcription.

When it is reasonably stocked, I will offer it as ‘Issue 1’, and make it available on request. If there is still interest, pehaps we can debate a way ahead, after all it has got the makings of a good website if there is somebody clever enough.

How has your database come on, is it possible to view it somewhere Judwin?

    Also not mentioned so far,
    Full Metal Jacket, 1987
Wessex 60s of Bristow Helicopters, G-AZBY, the flyer with HU.5 style intake was G-AYNC, and possibly one other used aswel.

Would still be great to see someone cover the great aviation epics, we don’t have lists of aircraft used in ‘The Dambusters’ or ‘The Battle of Britain’ for example.

Even more depressing is the fact that all of this will probably go quiet for a period and then resume in different ways again.

One of the aspects of all of this which intrigues me is that many of those baying for his blood are the very readers who cannot get enough of the stories published in his “rags”.

I see that as irony heaped upon irony, and some kind of natural justice.
The very kind of hysteria that this media group has engineered and whiped up could be the downfall of some of its group and people.
Did people fall for those huge ‘justice’ campaigns that the NoTW staged, the very ones that they are now being accused of hacking into the victims phones.
Did people seriously think that Murdoch and all those editors and private detectives main wishes were with the grieving families, and not for the huge profits gained from selling these rags?

Sad to see, in the light of today’s views on conservation, but back then
    nobody seems to have worried.

Todays views on conservation? In light of the current pics of Invincible being scrapped and the possibilty of Ark royal going the same way, are things that different now?

I can appreciate Murdoch may not have known how the reporters were gleaning their information via hacking and phone taps…….

None of that matters, what Murdoch does ensure runs through his whole empire from the top to the bottom is the drive at all costs, and got by any means, to get salacious stories. It’s the ‘I don’t give a damn about anyones feelings’ attitude which rubs off.

I agree with GA, JBs point about Murdoch being foreign dosen’t make any difference at all to this story or our feelings, in fact given the revelations of allegations of his dirty work in the US (9/11 victims hackings) I’m surprised that there isn’t more of an issue over there.
All the people arrested or held for questioning so far over here have been British citizens anyway.

    Very concise, thanks Antoni.
So was the ‘white’ actually the very light linen (?) grey colour originally used?
Interesting pic posted by Tangmere as it seems to show a mixture of black/white halves and Sky!
Like many paint and finish subjects it seems to have many variables.
