…a Cornish Pastie, cheese and onion please.
no such thing, and it’s Pasty!
Ah you haven’t heard of my fantasy involving Mrs Thatcher, Anne Robinson, Anne Widdicombe and a night at a cheap travel lodge!

I wouldn’t do a Baz on you and wind you up about having Hercules flights!

Ok, so I will!

Anyway got as p-ssed as a handcart on the way back home, coutesy of the Slovakian loadie behind me there…

Do any other countries produce the quality of news, documentries and dramas, plus try daring new projects (some fail some succeed) that the BBC puts out across TV, radio, and indeed the web around the world?
When you compare the TV licence to a Sky subscription it’s a bargain.

I would put you forward James as Ann Robinson can’t stand the Welsh:D
I mean, well, it’s not your fault is it?.
I always support the minority.;)
Whoa, let me stop you there Jim, I’m Cornish!
And as for Anne Robinson – well I know I would….!

I’m more than happy to pay a licence fee, the BBC’s output is far superior to ITV, CH4, and satellite, and for this very reason.
It dosen’t have to cave in or pander to commercial considerations, for all of its programming.
As Baz says, leave it be.

Several factories in Coventry (ordinary and shadow) built parts for and whole Bristol engines. Alertken “assembly at 2 sites: Austin/Longbridge and Rootes/Ryton: 67,000 Bristol types, parts from Daimler/Rootes/Rover/Standard” However I believe Daimler and Standard both assembled complete Bristol engines – indeed Standard Cars’ Banner Lane shadow factory (most rcently used by Massey Ferguson and only demolished 3 – 4 years ago) had engine test cells – as did Rootes (Humber/Hillman) at Ryton.
Add to that Rover production of Bristol Hercules engines at the especially built (payed for by the Air Min) Lode Lane plant at Solihul.
A very sad sight, but great news that the crew escaped unharmed.
I’m afraid it is superlatives time again, but what you have achieved is absolutely incredible!:)
Quick question Alex, what is the reason for covering everything in metal or foil, when it will be painted over and not seen?
Seems a lot of work for a feature that will be hidden, but there must be a very good reason for it.
Re post #4 I just coincidentally found these pics, me and Spitfireman picking over the mortal remains of the T.4 at Mawgan.
Aswel as the large clear nose section and a number of u/c legs we found five firewalls, so more than one Shack there.

Talking of which do you remember that Starfighter that came close to burying its pilot when it pulled out of a loop very late!

And if you look very carefully you can just…, yes there they are…, bottom of the picture, the ordinary folk that couldn’t stand on a caravan!
I believe some of them paid for tickets aswel!:D
