SF, Im pretty sure the Bev is XB259, I can’t think of another that appeared in white with black under fusalage.
‘261 was still flying then aswel, but looked quite different.

I’m thinking that the Canberra is PR.7 WH774 of the RRE Pershore.

Well I have to say that they are quite superb, the colour rendition, focus, and depth of field control in the pictures are fantastic, especially apparent in the second ‘Oddball’ shot.:)

Just need to work on the writing! :p

    It is, £2077 for a Chinese Kidney:eek:

More fool anyone who wants to go down that route of wasting money and ruining your health on something that will be outdated soon.

I suspect there’d be a decent case for quite a few of the Science Museum assets to be better displayed in a more appropriate setting.

Absolutely, the Wroughton collection really needs to be opened up and turned into a coherent display.

The S.Kensington collection is without a doubt the most valuable collection of aircraft in the UK, and geographically the most accessible, I really don’t get the argument against it.

AA, re the Henshaw Swift info I to am just relying on info posted here.

As a regular visitor I just cannot image the Comper fitting in at Cosford, no matter how tenuous the link.
Talking of Swifts, is there a good reason why the RAFM no longer displays the Supermarine variety?

BTW just because Shuttleworth flies aircraft does that count as an argument for not preserving static aircraft there?
Does this show that there might be a shortfall the UK for displaying general aviation and light commercial types in the UK?
