    Thanks Rich, I hate getting into the paint debate as it can look like criticism which it most certainly isn’t meant to be.
    I was referring to the anti-glare panel as it happens, but if it’s being kept black for safety reasons then that’s completely understandable.
    I like the red spinners, adds a dash of bright colour to the whole look!:)

    We’ve been told off on here for referring to aircraft by their serial numbers only and not naming them, now what is it?!
    I’ve been Googling A-42 but no joy!

    It copes well Peter, that Puma was I would say as far as a crowd line to mid runway position when I took it, alomst at full zoom I seem to remember.
    I very rarely go to airshows but use it at work (as above) where its one problem is that I can’t fit large aircraft in at the zoomed out position.

    Forgot about this thread, yesterday, sorting out trolley for cockpit section to sit on.
    I have two trolleys, one which is good but has perished tyres, and the other with great tyres but not suitable for task. Easy solution, swap the wheels over – nah, it’s ex MoD!
    The wheels look identical but the decent set wouldn’t quite fit over the hubs of the decent trolly, cure – split all eight wheels and swap tyres and tubes over, 108 seized wheel nuts, 10 skinned knuckles, and 3 1/2 hours later it was done!

    BTW Vulture I love that Shack Griffon intake hanging on your wall!:)

    As a stand alone programme it was OK, however, all those scientists and engineers, they spun up their mine with a drill to 1500rpm? so it would drop at 750rpm 5 minutes later. Could they have not fitted the drill to the bomb rig and just spun it to the required 750rpm?

    Using the maths, wouldn’t it have slowed down to 375 rpm then?

    I guess it is usual aviation programme territory, if you know the story very well you won’t be that interested in what the programme has to say, if you don’t or you’re just a casualy interested viewer it could be fascinating.

    Normally I would agree with that sentiment Moggy, but I think in this case the large Breguet is actually quite good looking and well streamlined, compare it with our Bev!

    Civil – 763 Provence, Deux Ponts referred to the double decker layout.
    I would concur with 765 Sahara though!

    I agree about photo doctoring as seems about right height of ground, and is that the open nose gear doors under the chin?!

    Fascinating, speaking as someone a bit post that period it is great to see that the old aircraft scene looked strong even back then.
    The Silver Hurricane (could it be ‘Last of the Many before repint?) looks fantastic and I would love to see one in silver these days.
    I was wondering if the B-26 Invader was the one displayed at the museum now, but as I did a quick search I was surprised to learn that the CEV were using them until as late as 1970!
