Hi Baloffski, was it the same thing picture above at Brooklands? I had a feeling that it was a one off.

Yes Charles and his generation seem to have been the worst of the Royals, I have huge admiration for the Queen and some for Philip, the newer generation seem pretty good.

The jet thingy’s were before my time, I have heard that the reason they weren’t kept was because they either melted all the ice and snow which then refroze like an ice rink, or they caused runway surface heat damage.

XV235 in the white and grey and with the 42 sqn badge on the tail.
I believe this is the aircraft that is going to be displayed at Cosford, would love to see it in the white and grey, would even forgive it not having the correct aerials and bumps for that scheme!

I don’t know the source of this picture so apologies for that, will credit if person steps forward.

The Sea King flypast, if you can describe it as such, was the best flying at the event, very low and straight down the middle of the Mall, even the noise of the Volante was drowned out!
The main flypast did well considering the viz looked diminished for the jets.

Oh, and Pippa Middleton is immensely marriageable.

I can’t help thinking that was the first thing going through Harrys’ mind aswel – well ok not the first, but certainly second!

The appalling BBC coverage of the BBMF flypast today.

You’ve already said that in Historic Forum, it was actually quite good coverage.
It wasn’t a programme about the BBMF with a wedding thrown in!

Excellent footage of the Lancaster and BBMF from the ground and onboard, BBC, Royalty, and GB PLC at its finest today!

Very nice, Luqa seems to have had a good aviation photography interest, another excellent source of pictures from there is Godfrey Mangion who took some wonderful colour shots in the late ’60s-1970s era.
