I think the cars in the background are probably a bit too nice for Marham or any other RAF station.
I’m pretty sure it is Vickers Weybridge (Brooklands), in this shot http://www.flickr.com/photos/triggerscarstuff/6862881350/ I think it’s the buildings upper left to middle, seen from the opposite way from the Valiant picture above.

WZ367 certainly does look good in that picture, shortly before its death!

Edit, it looks like a triple General Service Shed, both in the wall and roof architecture, which Brooklands did have from the early days.

It looks like the dialectric fin and rudder caps have been removed to reveal the aerials underneath. Maybe part of the modification work undertaken at Marshalls?
Did Marshalls also do the painting of Valiants does anyone here know?

Great result Mark, you would think there would be the odd picture of it about of it dumped or scrapped, must have been an unusual-ish sight back then and in that colour.

Not sure if you’re being entirely serious Anday as reality has blurred with the absurd here, but;
I think the opening picture is the tail end of Grumman FM-2 Wildcat that ditched off the practice aircraft carrier USS Wolverine, ex paddle steamer Seeandbee, which was based on lake Michigan.
The aircraft was due to be recovered this month, and I’m assuming the pic shows the first chunk to be recovered.

There is a large panel aft of the bomb bay which was raised to help airflow when the doors were open, aft of that was a powered flying controls bay access hatch

It was a Stuka look alike converted from Procter G-AIEY by Viv Bellamy, I don’t think it was ever used in the BoB film though. Clever though!
