Cardiff airport was significant because a Vulcan was scrapped there in the 1990’s…

I might be missing humour here, but how on earth is that significant?
Don’t quite get the Birmingham Airport or Cosford link either.

Good to see that St Athan, which usually gets overlooked with flypasts, was taken into consideration, and really VTTS should be congratulated for even putting together a fly around like this.
I’m wondering if another trip is planned for the former V bomber bases (and even dispersed airfields)?

Is it me, or is there a ridge running around the Vulcan nose (& tail?), at the paint demarcation line?

I’m wondering if xtangomike is angling for the historic perspective of the irony that Britain came up with the modern steam catapult and arrester sytems (along with angled deck and mirror landing sight) back in the early 1950s, yet we seem to be absolutely stubborn in not wanting to introduce carriers/aircraft with these systems that still works so well for the US Navy.
The VTOL variant looks the most complicated, expensive, and least capable range/combat lift variant that we could go for.
