Did our French friends not conspire to force the Tu144 to crash at Paris by spooking it with Mirages.

I have had a call from our local press and he is going to run a story in the Abingdon/Oxford papers, great news.
Any new information will be very useful please if anyone has any.
He has asked for a picture, Plazz would it be posible to use the recent ones of yours posted here, the paper will of course credit you?, should I PM you?.
I think the press think that I am single handedly launching a campaign to bring her home to Abingdon, nice idea but not reality.
Neil P you will probably get a call from Gordon Rogers, I told him that you would be interested in helping with the article given your involvement in Abingdon aviation, hope you don’t mind.
I posted this like this so that folks can see that things are going on.

I went to 7 or 8 shows this year and to be quite honest the things that stick in my mind unfortunately are seeing Mr Hollander perish in his Ryan rep at Coventry and the wreckage of the Firefly being inspected during day two of Legends.
There were some enjoyable bits, sure, but in the main I shall look back on this year with some sadness.
I have become slightly disillusioned by the whole airshow scene anyway and will probably be spending more time at Old Warden rather that anywhere else next year.
You never know, a winter lay off might re-kindle my enthusiasm.

I thought that BAe had relented and had agreed to support the Shack in the UK, thats why Mike Collett was so sure she would come back this year.I thought finance was the problem now.

    MOTF,
    This is not my view.
I was having a go at MONOPLANE who said in another thread that all OW displays had basically the same aircraft.
I know as you do that the OW displays offer great variety in a unique atmosphere which make it the best aviation site in the UK.
Long live the Shuttleworth collection at OW.

    In order of preference;-

    1. Laphroig
    2. Lagavullin
    3 Talisker
Anything slightly Islay/Island , peaty, sweet/salty, phenolic or Lowland
Not too taken by Highland or Spey.
Blends, well despite what some would say there are some good ones, Johny Walker Black as an example

Talking of which, Shuttleworths Poli should be up and running I think.
That should put some variety into OW shows that are apparently all the same eh MONOPLANE!!!!

I have written to our local (Abingdon) press asking that the plight of the aircraft be highlighted.
I am waiting for the reporter to come back to me. I thought that this would be a better approach than just a letter to the editor, as hopefully this way it will get some sort of heading and maybe a picture. A picture will work really well in local press.
Soon as I know I’ll post and link up with YAM.

Very surprised that there is not a visit/ flypast at Fairford, after it the base was key to her early development years and of course BZN has support with flight training slots over many years. I would have thought at least one pass around the area would have been justified.
I suppose I have got try and get amongst the throng at LHR somehow.
