Guzzineil, yes Old Hooky kept well would have to be in my top 10 ales.
Thanks Guys,
At least I will have been to Waddington the day before so will be in a good mood come Sunday.
I have absolute guarantees from the Taxi company that the boss will take me next time in their best car, so if you see a blacked out roller heading up the MII at about 6.00pm next Sunday wave……… it might be someone important.
PS
Thanks Kev35, I’ll pass your details onto my Secretary !.

Manonthefence and Ginger Prince,I wish I had not been rude about Didcot, for christ sake you have let it all slip about this area now and every bugger will want to come.I’m from Appleton and we find ferrets a bit aggresive, pigs are much better and they are easier on the knees.
Don’t forget we are Berkshire not Oxfordshire, bugger what the boundary changes did in 1971, I’m still in Berkshire and proud of it.However I do work for a company with ‘Oxford’ in its title, so I have something in the name to be thankfull for.
As for the beer discussion, well OSH has never been the same since being brewed in some remote land and that Green King S**t that masquerades as ‘Morland Original’ is nothing short of an insult to a well defined ale pallette.
Either of you play Aunt Sally by any chance, if so for who?
Ginger Prince,
You should remember that not everyone on this forum lives a long way from you, and whilst the others don’t know Didcot from Diss I do ,and center of the universe it aint !!:D 😀
First class pictures Roger- Digital ?
The Expiditor C45 is excellent, would love to see that in the uK. Its type that does not get seen enough in my book.
They are all great until you use with XP, I got shot of my Epsom because I thought it was the TWAIN software that caused all of the problems. I got the HP in its place , not only is it a awkward scanner to use but the software(driver) will still not function correctly with XP.
I liked my Epsom, never the very best quality, but user friendly and pretty inexpensive.
When I change again, probably this autumn, I will go for a film scanner rather that a flatbed with attachements.
It was a very interesting competition with a fantastic prize. On my first pass I guess I got about 60%, and gradually got down to three that I was stuck on and I must confess would not have got them without the help of the ever knowledgeable Cirrus.
I would like to see a copy posted here, copyright permitting, so that those who did not go could have a bash at it.
I’m Sorry if I sounded a little harsh yesterday Everton_1878, I can assure you that I was not attacking you personally so please accept my apologies.
As you will have detected I was very saddened by the whole affair.
I got up this morning feeling more positive and ready for the days challenges, then I saw Central news re-running the footage of the crash. It brought the moment back.
I have to say though, the sequence did look different from where it was filmed to where I was standing, angles of view I suppose.
I still don’t feel enthusiastic about going to another show, not for some time at least.
Please can we separate out this thread.
Everton_1878, to give you the benefit of doubt you may not have fully read all of this thread. Can I suggest that you do so then consider what you may post in the way of something more respectful to apologise for your previous posting.
We must also open another thread so as not to belittle the death of Mr Hollander by discussing other aspects of the show.
Thankyou.
Sorry, but I missed the most important part of my previous post.
My most sincere and heartfelt sympathies go to Mr Holanders family.
If any one knows of contact details to send personal messages of condolene please send then to me by private mail please.
I am very saddened by the news of Mr Hollanders death, I hoped and prayed after reading he had suffered ‘serious injuries’ that there might be a chance that he would recover. I have however to reitterate what I said last night and agree with DHFAN, I just did not think it was survivable.
I have unfortunately seen several crashes with yesterday’s, including others with fatalities and each time the feeling gets worse.
I was trying to tell my children when I got home last night and found it very difficult , I had to leave and go outside to the garden to gather myself. My youngest daughter(5) asked me this morning if the ‘ man from the aeroplane was going to be OK’, at that time I had not seen the news but still found it very hard to say ‘I really hope so’. I hope she does not ask tomorrow.
At the moment I don’t know that I want to go to another airshow.
