Thor (2011)

Warrior Thor is cast out from his realm and must live as a mortal on Earth. Fantastic Marvel comics adaptation. Fabulous looking visual effects and with a cast of Chris Hemsworth as Thor and Anthony Hopkins as Odin, this a great fun film.

Brazil (1985)

Jonathan Pryce plays a civil servant struggling to maintain humanity in Terry Gilliam’s masterwork about a dystopian society hung up on paperwork and procedure. Gilliam’s attention to detail is remarkable and makes great looking movies. Rather prophetic in parts too. Excellent.

If want to start a thread about 9/11 I will happily shoot down your theories on another thread.

You have 6 post so far on this forum, 5 of them on thread spouting forth your pet conspiracy theories about how the Titanic and Olympic were swapped and only a few intelligent people realize this and then the clincher for me; 9/11, the home of the best of the tin-foil hat brigade.

What is it about major events, Titanic, Moon landing, 9/11, JFK etc. that they attract these conspiracy theories? Is it the internet that allows those on the fringe a voice?
What did these people do before the internet? Gather in little rooms with their tin-foil hats on swapping ever more bizarre theories with each other?

Frankly, some of these conspiracy theorists are an insult to those who died in these tragedies.

But the real truth is almost always in the hands of the truly smart / perceptive, well-educated, and well-informed minority.

Or maybe the real truth is great deal more straightforward and less exciting than you would have us believe.

So crime only arrived in the last generation? What rubbish.

But fear not. Salvation looms – though you might not like it. When, within the next thirty to forty years, an Islamic govt. rules in this country, we will have Sharia law whether we like it or not. Then crime will disappear – virtually.

Probably the saddest thing I’ve read on here. It is such a deluded point of view as to require sympathy rather than ridicule. With around 3% of the population, how are Muslims going to 50% in 30-40 years? Ludicrous.
