If there isn’t much red in it (there is) then it is the same as the last Olympic kit or the England football or rugby strip or the British Midland colour scheme etc.. etc..

I’m guessing this is just the latest in what is going to be a long summer of world class Olympic moaning.

It’s a very British design that the athletes are very pleased with. There is blue in it because there is blue in the Saltire that forms part of the union flag. Obviously.
The dark and light blue flag design is pretty obviously British to (almost) everyone

Similarly you’ll have to have go at the RAF markings for being pink and light blue, I mean they’re not the colours in the UK’s flag either are they.

    What about this?

A very similar design on the fin.

The kit has red, white and blue in it so I’m struggling so see your point (if there is one).

    What a load of drivel.

It wasn’t actually directed at you but if you feel that it was then I cannot really comment.

We took our daughter abroad when she was 3. According to you I am guilty of something tantamount to child abuse. Now that is talking drivel. Our 3 year old was well behaved and thoroughly enjoyed her experience – an experience that the likes of you would you deny her.

    Your use of phrases like

“Taking babes in arms on holidays by air is pathetic and tantamount to child abuse.”

    owners of little darlings

Tell me all I need to know about your attitude to children in general.

Some people have children and some dare to take them travelling with them. Deal with it.

Perhaps those that have a problem with other people’s children should have no more involvement with them; now or in the future. I’m sure they would be much happier only having themselves to deal with and having no interaction with any one else at all. Let’s hope none of them need any help from anyone in future.

    Senna (2010)

Rather expecting a fairly ordinary documentary that got a cinema release. Wrong. This is a fascinating and emotional insight into a complex character. Beautifully put together and well worth watching.

    The Task (2011)

Fame-seekers taking part in a reality TV show have to perform tasks over night in an abandoned prison. Saw meets Big Brother apparently. Not nearly as interesting as Saw but infinitely better than Big Brother but then again that wouldn’t be difficult.

    The Eagle (2011)

Channing Tatum plays a Roman centurion attempting to restore his family’s honour in Britain in the 2nd century AD. Another take, similar to Centurion, on the legend of the 9th Legion who disappeared in Northern Britain. Decent enough if a little bleak and grey at times.

I think I remember reading that racehorses are unable to support their weight on three legs meaning it would be difficult if not impossible to allow a broken leg to heal.

I wonder if Arthur WAS that screaming toddler…

Nope certainly wasn’t – never been assaulted by my parents either. My 8 year old is a well-behaved child and I have never assaulted her either. Violence isn’t required to bring up children successfully.

Some parents have this silly sense of entitlement…so they successfully had a child. Good for them.
People have been having them for thousands of years.
    I hope they feel special.
But that doesn’t excuse them from exerting some control over their children and taking some responsibility for their actions.

Parents don’t feel a sense of entitlement – all they ask is a little consideration, something that, certainly from here seems sadly lacking.
Anyone who has had children will know that when a 2 year old has a tantrum nothing will work and it most definitely does not depend on how the child is brought up. Nothing to do with “boundaries” or any of that. The best behaved of children can have tantrums.

Anyway, don’t parents have rights as well though? Parents have rights to buy tickets on flights as well?

What is it about the theatre though? It isn’t the same situation at all.

I can see the irony in my intolerance of the intolerant though.

Parents and children have as much right to fly as you do. You buy a ticket to get from A to B. That’s all. There are no guarantees of a quiet and uneventful flight. If you find flying too stressful if there are other people on board maybe you should give it a miss.
