We try to go on holiday to fun exciting places that don’t attract whining old types that go through life tutting at others. 🙂
Is it possible to go straight from birth to middle age? It must be as those complaining about children must never have been young themselves once…..
J Boyle. Your use of the word “spawn” speaks volumes about you and your attitude to other people’s children.
Interesting that as the facts start to emerge, it becomes even more ridiculous. Apparently the 2 year-olds tantrum lasted 5 minutes and the child was under control and strapped in its seat but the Captain still decided to offload them (and their baggage presumably) and therefore delayed the flight more than if he had allowed them to stay on board (nice one Captain). Anyway how could a strapped in two year old possibly affect flight safety? The mind boggles.
In never ceases to amaze me how much intolerance still exist these days.
Snafu352. What a load of rubbish.
Amazing the lengths you would go to to prove a point on an internet forum!
Not that you’ll have thought of this but I have actually travelled a fair bit with quiet cabins and cabins with noisy children and it doesn’t bother me at all. You do know what earphones are for don’t you?
In general an aeroplane is not an environment for any child under the age of around 5 or 6.
It is not a comfortable environment for anyone but especially children who in general have no idea what is going on.
Anyway, what a load of grumpy old so and sos inhabit this forum.
Lardy Git, were these the types you had in mind?

From the AOL item:-
The parents eventually managed to get her to sit and fastened her seatbelt, but the JetBlue flight captain ruled that it was unsafe to take off.
I think throwing them off is harsh.
Sympathy? You’re so predictable Arthur!
I would have been given a sound thrashing for that sort of behaviour, and so would my two kids have been.
If there is no parental control at that age, how does that bode for the future?
A sound thrashing eh? I’m sure that would have helped.
Assault against 2 year old is something that has rightly been made illegal. I and most others would never dream of hurting children. What sort of person would want to do that?
Predictable? Absolutely right. The voice of tolerance, sympathy and reason in a sea of prejudice and bias.
…….or doddering oldies.
What is wrong with a little sympathy here? It’s never fun travelling with toddlers anyway and tantrums have little to do with the way the children are brought up. Once the tantrums start, the children, especially a two year old in this case, cannot be reasoned with.
I can only guess that those complaining either have never had children of their own or would advocate some sort of physical punishment.
realy ??? i mean realy ??? now lets think about this !!
I guess if you form your opinions from Youtube then you can get all of your prejudices reinforced for you at the click of a mouse.
In a round trip of around 60 miles today we saw poor driving from a elderly bloke in Focus, a thirty something in a Volvo XC70 and young woman in a Golf and bloke in a brown () Mini Cooper . From this I have come to conclusion that everyone that drives a Focus/Volvo/Golf/Mini is useless. 🙂

One of the worst driving traits is arrogance and I think we see too much of it. None of us are above making errors while driving, it is a complex business after all and when things happen it is the assumption that it always the other driver’s fault. No-one seems willing to admit making an mistake.
I don’t care how much anyone has driven or what vehicles they’ve driven, there is no age, sex, colour or any other barrier to crap driving. Everyone is capable of it.

Hanna (2011)
Story of a teenage assassin played by Saoirse Ronan trained by her father (Eric Bana) and hunted by the CIA agents (Cate Blanchett) and others (Tom Hollander). Decent, exciting stuff with a great soundtrack by the Chemical Brothers.
The Ward (2010)
Amber Heard plays a disturbed girl in psychiatric ward where the patients are being picked off one by one.
Confusing horror – OK if you’ve nothing else to do but otherwise avoid.
Priest (2011)
Paul Bettany plays a priest in a post-apocalyptic world where humans and vampires fight for survival. Looks great but feels empty and the actors seem uninvolved somehow. Fairly exciting though.

these are factual observations formed from what must be aproaching 100’000 + driving miles if not far in excess i’d done 24’000 in my first 2 yrs on motorcycles
You’re not the only one that drives around the UK you know. I’ve had license since 1981 and cars since 1987 so I’ve seen a bit as well.
The problem is that good drivers generally go unnoticed whereas bad ones are all too obvious.
The best thing I ever did was take an advanced driving course. Some companies used to offer an insurance discounts for those that passed the advanced driving tests – I don’t know if they still do.

Insurance companies use statistics to back up their premium prices whereas this forum uses sweeping generalizations.
Women, Asians, Mercedes, school run etc..
I’m surprised no-one has mentioned white vans or BMWs yet.
