I hope you are right and I hope the Scottish people vote with their heads and not their hearts. What’s the betting that “Braveheart” will be on the night before the referendum?

And will happen to the SNP if the independence vote is lost?

I lived a few miles from Edzell for many years. It was always a place of mystery and intrigue. Nobody was supposed to know what went on there and access was all but impossible. The local paper once gave it away when a US Navy chap married a local girl and they gave his job as “Russian interpreter” !

There were rumours that the US still used the runways from time to time but I never saw proof or evidence for such an event. I don’t know when the last aircraft would have been.

I don’t know of any local memorials to the crews lost while flying out of Edzell and its satellites during WW2. I guess being a training base it had its fair share of accidents. It would be nice if there was such a memorial.

But if that dog helped protect your property and was in fact partially paid for by you then you might think you had some responsibility for helping to dismantle its kennel when you didn’t need it anymore.

I think there are many many things that need to be carefully thought through if it isn’t going to cost Scotland a fortune. DVLA, DSS, Inland Revenue, defence forces, NHS all of these things and many many more will need to be split from their UK counterparts and set up as independent organizations. It will take years to sort out and at huge cost I suspect. When Scotland votes I hope these things are considered and debated beforehand and don’t come as surprises afterwards.

    The Adjustment Bureau

Matt Damon and Emily Blunt as a couple that a secret organization are trying to keep apart. Imaginative and clever science fiction with a human twist. Based on a short story by Philip K Dick. Thoroughly enjoyable.

    Limitless

Bradley Cooper is a failing writer who stumbles across a pill that takes his IQ into “4 figures”. Again, clever science fiction , well played and thought-provoking.

Let’s think. 99% of the population speak English. 1% speak Gaelic. I have a sneaky feeling that the language of the “new” country just might be English. It’s just a feeling mind you….

It might be the lights themselves and caused by white balance on your camera as I think fluorescent lights show as a green cast. It should be able to be corrected by altering the white-balance in Paint Shop Pro or whatever.

I understand the chemtrail loonies have latched on to this already.

    Moggy

If the chemtrails sprayed a substance that was detrimental to the people of Lincolnshire, would anyone notice any difference?

Since I started at Woodford there were constant rumours of Chadderton closing so it’s ironic that it actually outlived Woodford in the end.
What a mess we’ve made of the aircraft industry in this country. 🙁
