Indeed. If it wasn’t scripted then it was almost inevitable that Clarkson’s ego and mouth would take over. If it was scripted then as you say it is a whole different argument. The ire of 21000 complaints should be turned against the producers of the One Show rather than Clarkson. If it was scripted then Matt Baker and Alex Jones are better actors than I thought. They certainly looked genuinely shocked.

Well I have to say, after a few nippy sweeties and listening to the Pixies, the Raveonettes and Placebo, all is right with the world.:)

I suspect what is being complained is not the fact that he made the remark. It is the fact that he made it on pre-watershed prime time TV at 7pm when families are watching. I think it was an inappropriate comment for that time on TV. Freedom of speech does not mean you can say what you like when you like. Jeremy Clarkson doesn’t seem to know what is appropriate and what isn’t – he does have a track record in this area.

Please tell us what it says, that way we won’t have to click on a link that has in any way, anything to do with Elton John. I don’t think I could stand having that in my internet history list. I mean, what if the sites we visit are being monitored…..

He has indeed been a pillock. I have to say that I generally avoid watching him and his boorish comments. If his comment was meant as joke it was missing one important factor. It wasn’t funny.
