Tron – the original
Pretty good – I’d forgotten how good it was. Even now the effects look good. In 1982 they were stunning.
The Broken
Don’t know about this one. Some scary bits but some big plot holes as well. Looked good though.

You’ve not been here long enough, don’t tell me what I do and do not do.
Eh?? What are you talking about?
Maybe you could let me know when I have been here long enough to tell you what you do and do not do.
Crikey, you must be sensitive if you think accusing someone of being “blinkered” is knocking lumps out of each other. 🙂
As far as discussion goes, I’m still waiting for the BA fanboys to reply to some of the points made above – looks like we’ll have to carry on waiting. and waiting…and waiting…
When BA do wrong, I am one of the first to call them on it on forums. Trust me.
But not on this forum obviously.
While not wishing to step on Cloud_9’s feet here, maybe you could look up the word “blinkered” as your attitude to BA reminds me of one so attired.
Which routes do BA operate out of EDI, Jay?
Looks like the answer is London and er… London. Oh and London as well.:)
Plus to my knowledge BA connect EDI with many highlands and islands airports.
Which airline operates those services?
If you think that BA’s service is anything like as good as Emirates, Etihad Qatar etc then I’m afraid you’re sadly mistaken. Until BA can be prised away from Heathrow and become British Airways rather than London Airways then I and many others will be flying with other airlines.
Not realy, I got the point, it was very obvious to me.
Perhaps you were simply not paying attention?
Yes, well it would be obvious to you wouldn’t it?
If BA think that impressive adverts showing how great they were in the past is going to have passengers flooding back then I’m afraid they are sadly mistaken also.
I think I may have missed the point about retro schemes. The 757 was originally delivered in that scheme. Those of us old enough remember it saw it flying in that scheme when it first arrived in the early 1980s. What would have been much more interesting would have been a 757 in BEA colours or an A320 in Imperial colours or a 777 in BOAC colours.:)
If I’ve missed the point, hasn’t the advert failed?
It is going to take a bit more than a flashy advert and a new badge to repair a rather tarnished image.
BA need to ask why so many are turning to other airlines. Could the answer be Heathrow? Many travellers I know would rather fly via Amsterdam, Frankfurt ,even Dubai, in fact, almost anywhere except Heathrow. Add that to a creaky aging long-haul fleet and you can start to see why passengers will opt for other carriers.
Good looking advert but it is a bit of a giveaway where BA’s priorities lie. Lots of emphasis on aeroplanes and pilots but rather misses where BA should be concentrating – its passengers. They seem to be a sideline to what BA does.
It does seem odd that they emphasize their 747 fleet, the oldest they have, rather than a shiny new 777 or Airbus.
That’s odd. The charity seem happy with the arrangement. That can’t be right. Aren’t we supposed to outraged by this?

20 years ago since the the Nirvana LP Nevermind was released.
This still sounds as fresh as the day I first heard it.

Burke and Hare
Not too bad with a few laughs. Could have been better though.
Inception
Brilliant. Hollywood at its best.
Strategic Air Command
Great flying shots and er…..well, great flying shots.
