Thanks for that – I don’t think I would have stumbled across that site by accident!
Was the Lufthansa MD-11 a regular flight? I thought that had an evening slot.
So where do you find out about these movements – are they on some forum or list somewhere?
Nice shots there. Were you waiting on the MD-11 or was it luck?
TAS Manchester never seems to have info on what’s due any more.
I spent an hour or so there when it faired up this afternoon. I’ll post some pics later.
Are people really so tight that they would begrudge £3.50 to park at what is one of the best aircraft collections in the world? We are very fortunate in the UK to have so many free museums and art galleries and £3.50 is a small price to pay I reckon.

This would appear to give a different story.
From the Red Arrows website.
Jon, as a Red Arrows pilot, encapsulated everything that is the ‘Best of British’; he was an exceptional pilot, a dedicated RAF Officer who saw service for his country but, moreover, he was a selfless and compassionate friend who will be sorely missed. The fortitude, resilience and pride that Jon showed in life are exactly the qualities that define our Armed Forces and it is these that will enable us to get back on our feet and move on. For that reason, and in Jon’s memory, the Red Arrows will be displaying to the public again at the earliest possible opportunity.”

If it could be moved….
As far as I was aware, all of the buildings at Woodford are being closed to await the decision on the future of the site. They may be in this state for years to come.
There was due to be surprise as far as XM603 is concerned but I haven’t heard anything so far…..
The New Assembly hall is nearly 3/4 mile long and to see it empty now is very sad. When I started at Woodford, there was a 146 line on one side, the ATP line on the other and a line of Buccaneers in the middle undergoing mods. Happy days.
Thought I’d point out this thread as a reminder of what we had.
Any suggestions on where one can get a decent grown-up discussion these days, AP?
No, frankly I don’t any more.
that’s where you went wrong linc !!
you’ll find ignorant bitch is the correct phrase !!
Respect eh?
I have to say that round here it seems to be the older generation that is lacking in manners and respect.

Sky High was right. Different thread but same stuff/rubbish/opinions posted by the same people.

I am frankly staggered that someone could be so insensitive that they can bring this subject up today, only 24 hours after Saturday’s tragic accident.
Mods, please do the decent thing to this thread.
BBC reports on anything at all should be regarded with caution, as to the correct info. therein. They just need to fill airtime thats why all of their visual presenters wave their hands/arms about like martial art instructors. If anyone recalls Dan Snow and his third rate commentary on the 25th anniversary fly past of theFalklands war, we were informed that there were no Sea Harriers flying down the Mall as the CAA did not want any single engined a/c over central London (They were all in storage at Shawbury) One minute later he told us about the Navy Hawks in the flypast!! Obviously they were the top secret twin engined Hawks from deepest Devon. This man got the job because of who his daddy is.
The BBC is a public disgrace end of. And i imagine this post will be disappeared before many of our members have a chance to see or comment on it.
God bless free speach.
Commentator makes error in live broadcast = BBC is a public disgrace.
Rather a dramatic conclusion from a trivial error isn’t it?
God Bless free speech (or is it speach?):)
Probably going to get shot down in flames…….
Shot Down in Flames – excellent
Some of the comments are brilliant. Whole Lotta Rosé. Very good.
