My 2002 Mitsubishi Galant I bought as an ex-demo with 4000 miles on the clock, now has 60000 and, apart from normal servicing and tyres hasn’t had any faults whatsoever. Nor did its 1999 predecessor.
A fine car indeed. I had a 2001 V6 Sport estate for a couple of years. Great looking car with a fantastic auto gearbox.

And the award for the most unoriginal joke of the day goes to …. critter592 for his hilarious regurgitation of the rap without a “c” joke.
Rap music has its place in culture just as much as any other genre. Some of the lyrics may be uncomfortable but so are some punk and some rock music lyrics. Are we going to have a go at those too?
I’ll take rap music over X-factor style pop any day.

Another ugly car. Not as bad as the Nissan Joke or the Dodge Nitro though.
The roads are full of cars with styling that seems to come from 7 year olds.

Isn’t that part of the problem? Rumour and hearsay is affecting the people are going about their business. 24-hour news media Twitter, Facebook and Blackberry have to take some the blame for this.

Who are you to call their impressions ridiculous?

To put things into perspective, I have spoken to personnel of the RAF, Army, and Royal Navy, who have even intimated that with hindsight they fought on the wrong side during WW2…
Now that is probably one of the most ridiculous things I have read here…and that’s saying something.

Well the fuss is being perpetuated by our 24-hour media, by our Twitter, Blackberry and Facebook techonlogy – none of that is helping at the moment.
What is sad is that communities that have worked hard to make themselves half-decent places to live have been decimated by a mindless few.

Can’t be the Met to blame for the trouble kicking off in Birmingham. This is just criminal hooliganism. Band-wagon jumping of the worst kind.
As far as a new direction for the UK? We’ve seen this before in the 1980s and more recently as well. Rioting is nothing new and will not result in revolution. The only difference this time is that it is better organized because of the technology and media available. The police need to stop this and stop it now.
