Glue used wasn’t it……??
I believe that the fact that a different glue was used in the NZ woodwork from the original has been raised as a potential certification issue in the past. Along with the reverse-engineering of the molds etc. Presumably the project thinks that these issues can be successfully addressed.
Best of luck!
You should also ask at The Aerodrome.

However, in this case the aircraft has ended up rather bent!
See ODT link above.
Thanks for the interest.

And here is a short video of the Eindecker engine start and run.
Hopefully the completion timing is such that we can see it at a Warbirds Open Day at Ardmore before it heads home!

Like Errol I’ve seen AYR around the traps over the years, but I hadn’t realised she hasn’t been seen lately. Here’s a couple of photos to make up for it, taken from Fox Moth ZK-ADI of the same stable in 2009:
Same stable? It’s the same flight (at Omaka 2009) as my video above! – this was before Zac (K5054NZ) and I knew each other.
The set of photos from the flight is on my list of ones to reprocess, now that I have a better idea of what I’m doing.
ZK-AYR hasn’t been seen at an air show since 2009 I believe (I foolishly chose a seat in the Dominie ZK-AKY instead)

I am unsurprised to see it reported as not currently flyable.
Trying to keep within the realms of this thread “What’s the next big thing”.
…
So we are really talking about an aircraft that will be able to venture far and wide, have mass appeal and are relatively unique. The only possible contenders at the moment are types such as the HP 42 and O/400 “IF THEY ARE MORE THAN RUMOUR”, and an FE2b from NZ.

I can assure you that, impressive as a FE2b is, it doesn’t have as much ‘presence’ as even a DC-3, or a Corsair making good use of an angled display line.

MH415 is on the way to Australia so I understand.
History round-up at http://www.warbirdsonline.com.au/2015/09/07/spitfire-mh415-to-australia/
BTW, the Anson’s spring-driven bomb door action is very fast – with camera set to 3 frames per second, I’ve only got one frame on other than closed position when it’s done the cardboard bomb drop at NZ airshows.
I might be in Finland in August 2017, hoping to take some time to check out stuff like this!
Same approach for 2015/16
