I presume some of the Herne Bay aircraft for today will be based over the estuary.
Thought it was excellent. Good performances all round especially from Gemma Arterton and inevitably Bill Nighy. Didn’t know it had bombed – critically well received.
Where’s the inconsistency? The fact that I think it’s rubbish and meaningless, in a post you didn’t quote, does not preclude me from not caring.
No clarification required. Where did I suggest they did want things to turn to crap?
I’m sure you are right because you seem to care about it. I don’t so have no idea whether it’s fair or not or even matters.
I know that these days the media cannot cope without applying labels to everyone and everything but their significance is negligible.
In the end we will be where we will be in two or three years and one of us will be happy!!?
Nope! I didn’t search at all – it was the first definition I came across.
I suspect there as many definitions as there are “Little Englanders” so the term is effectively meaningless.
Brexit matters more or less to whom you speak. I have no idea how important we think we are. Provably no more nor less than citizens of any other nation. Except the French of course!!
The one thing lacking on all sides of the Brexit debate is a sense of humour, with a few honourable exceptions.
“Little Englander”
noun
a person who opposes an international role or policy for England (or, in practice, for Britain).
Well said and the usual media suspects come out of it poorly as ever.
Pleased to see you addressing the oft quoted “Little Englander” rubbish, bazv.
I see it quite differently. Little Englanders are happy to subsume their nation into an ever more federalised undemocratic Eurostate, whereas we, on the other side, want to expand our horizons, trade and opportunities globally as an independent nation.
And if there is any doubt about the EU’s autocratic aspirations just take a look at the infamous EU Five Presidents’ Report from 2015. That’s why I voted to leave. The NHS £350 million on the bus was a big red herring waived around by Remainers clutching at straws to explain the result.
Probably as much to do with any measures to reduce spending money it doesn’t have, as anything else.
You and I could think of worthier causes than the preservation of our culture and history for cutting. But this is not the place for politics.
I’m not aware of it ceasing, but it’s decreasing year on year.
Ah! That’s a bit different from a previous poster’s assertion. And inevitable in the circumstances I suppose.
Of course!
So when does Treasury funding officially cease?
Speak for yourself!?
Perfect! Some of my best friends are on the other side and many others are citizens of member states of the EU. And nothing stands in the way of enjoying life together.
EU is an anathema Europe is fun!
I think the taxpayer would be less impressed if any of these magnificent aircraft fell out of the sky! Safety first.
