It will be interesting to see, they will adapt for the M2000, or they will maintain the history on the 60’s?

In the 70´s, years before the revolution, the Iranian government was choosing a new fighter and the contest was between an F15 and F14. The decision was made after a demonstration in Iran in which the Shah was present. The performance of the F14 was better than the F15, so they decided for the Tomcat.

    Phantom II,

Recently there was an article that tells that. Without any potential threat in the air to air arena, the Eagle drivers are having problems to maintain their skills and when they return to US they need to get refresher training for that mission.

In regard the F-4 fleet, yes, the IDF/AF are in process to pahsing out some of the Kurnass.

    Churomaiz,

n fact the Mexican government got the Awacs version, which we operate with the name of R-99A. I saw a cuple of times an advertising on AFM in regard the P-99, but, no prototype is available to commence test flights and probably will take too long. FAB brought 12 P-3 and are signing a contract with EADS/CASA to upgrade them (8 will be in service). Currently FAB do not have sufficient budget to get the P-99. The possibility is to use one to two harpoints on each wing, let´s see.
Regarding the Tucano, the new version is starting service in FAB as for training, LIFT, COIN, CAS. Currently, there are no plan to a dedicated version of the Tucano for that role.

As far as I know Embraer is marketing an aircraft for maritime patrol called P-99 which is also a version of the civilian ERJ-145.
The new Tucano version was developed for other type of mission

Phantom II, the Growler is expected to enter service? is near or not, because I read that the Prowlers got an upgrade for more years of service and this is true, it will take too long for the pahsing out of the Prowlers.

    Regards.
