Firstly, this is a highly loaded question. More of a statement than a question really.
Secondly, during the battle of Britain, Gt. Britain was fighting a highly defensive air campaign to save its own neck. You bet its pilots had to be good. They had to be or Britain would have lost and WWII would have been won by the Nazi’s. Indeed, where the Nazis did not use women in the military and munitions / aircraft / tank / ship production until later (too late in fact), the British, Soviets and Americans did so with gusto without letting ideology get in the way.
The Israelis from 1948 onwards have been in a similar position. So despite being outnumbered by Egyptian, Syrian, Jordanian an Iraqi forces, the Israelis were not only using better tactics, like the British in 1940, they had to. And would have to again even if the Syrians were using Mig 29’s and Su 27’s.
Often we get carried away with aircraft performances esp when diplayed at airshows or prototype test models which may never enter service. Real world performances count the most.

Looks like mostly choppers, UH-60’s and AH-64’s. A few fixed wing types were used for cover but apparntly no heavy stuff dropped….
Introducing the all new Flanker “lite”. The same great Flanker taste but with only half the calories…..hmmmm
It perhaps makees one think or at least ask the question, if Blair, Brown or Cameron suffered from depression and this were made public, would they still be PM, Chencellor and Leader of the Opposition?? Esp considering how highly Churchill is still regarded…
