Okaaay. I understand more where you’re coming from now.
Canada often gets a good write up with positive feedback. Polite, freindly people. Clean streets. A good mix of cultures. Then again….VERY cold winters. HUGE country, can take ages to get anywhere, depending on where you live, obviously. And dare I say, only going from what I hear others say, a tad boring…
San Francisco, Boston and Seattle seem nice places in the US. Never visited them. However, the images I see look nice.
Just as you can’t say which is the “best” country to live in, you cannot say which is the leaset desired until / unless you are a real globtrotter and have spent some considerable time in several countries on every continent (Antarctica notwithstanding).

Maybe the chap who told me was mistaken. That said, I’ve done comission jobs for companies which also have had a high staff turnover. Running parralell to financial gain as a basic incentive is the working environment.
I think most jobcentres must be crummy, stressful places to work in….

I got this info from someone who used to work in a Jobcentre….I’m pretty sure they get quota’s to attain though.

[QUOTE]EMPLOYMENT
Rather than having a Jobcentre that only gives you benefits if you can’t get work, I’d rather have a Jobcentre that is run as an employment agency and gets you work.
I’m currently unemployed and have found the Jobcentre to be a total waste of space, they only appear interested in if you are entitled to benefits rather than getting you back to work so you don’t need them!
The thing is Steve, is that jobcentres ARE run as an employmnt agency, albeit a crappy one. Staff get paid commission if they find you a job. Thus they are willing to place you into dead end unsuitable positions. I guess staff also have quota’s too.
If I ran Britain, I’d make the teaching of basic economics compulsary in school, perhaps along with basic nutrition and other life skills such as simple plumbing, how to fit a fuse, and so on.

[QUOTE]He used to buy hot dogs in the street from an Iranian man
So a Jew buys a pork product (hot dog) from a Muslim….mmmm:-)
Seriously, I agree most Iranians do not want to pick a fight with anyone in particular. The Iranian president should realise that all his words are doing is uniting various parts of the world against Iran.
