I wonder if she would not be the first female French pilot causality.?!

Don’t forget the capability to cruise at high mach for long range (~0.95+) and the inherent saving of fuel for not having to lit the burner (as much) before firing a missile (higher, faster cruise).

Well, if your target can’t track or even see you, that’s a huge bonus for the mission.

Last but not least, with no external drag penalty you can fly for real as fast and as long as it was marketed to you.

That’s why I wrote long time ago that Active cancellation is the perfect tool to hack into civilian ATC and long time Friend airspace. It does not make any sense in military terms, relies heavily (understand on a very costly manner) on shadowy (privatized/deniable) intelligence and does not make much sense for an intermediary power like France (no persistence).

Lion Air halts search for CVR

The Reuters report adds that Indonesia’s National Transportation Safety Committee (NTSC) is likely to conduct its own search for the CVR, using ships from the country’s navy “as soon as feasible”. Negotiations with the navy are underway.

It is clear that the recent collapse of the Be gov could imply some dark skies ahead for the F-35 (no representation, no chorus of decision)). However with a network well established since the early 80’s and the F-16 program, it will be dubious to think that LM will need BELAG advice to implement the promised offset.

You don’t rent a trainer if you know how to drive.

Usually jamming assets are there to cover others!

Your question about the difference (if any) b/w the vaunted active cancellation and Jamming implied self-jamming. Hence I don’t see why we have to deal with EA aircraft like the Growler.

Thank you GarryA. Great doc. Any attentive reading should help to temper down some of the verbal arrogance here.
