Airbus SE (AIR.PA) does not buy products directly from Japan’s Kobe Steel but is investigating whether any of its suppliers are affected by the cheating scandal, an Airbus spokesman said.
ROLLS ROYCE
Rolls-Royce Holdings (RR.L) said it received affected products but they have not been used.
IHI
Heavy machinery maker IHI Corp (7013.T) said affected products were used in its jet engines.
IHI is a supplier for engines used on Boeing Co (BA.N) aircraft and in Japan’s defense and aerospace industries. The company did not say which engines used the affected products.
Japanese industry ministry officials said Kobe Steel materials were used in some defense equipment made by IHI.
MITSUBISHI HEAVY
Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd (7011.T) said Kobe Steel products were used on its Mitsubishi Regional Jet and rockets, including the H-2A rocket launched on Oct. 10 to put a navigation satellite into orbit. The rocket cleared all safety checks before launch, the company said.
Japanese industry ministry officials said Kobe Steel materials were used in some defense equipment made by Mitsubishi Heavy.

as I was the one initiating the comments, be sure it was not related to your own choice of including this link in the News section. I was more ironic on the fact that in a rather serious event, a CEO that had only wishful dreams to report made the news at the same level of more serious players. Promising millions of 3d printed flying vehicles in front of a military audience just to justify the low cost of an offer departs (IMOHO) from the usual.
As it sounded to me more like a commercial for laundry soap, I added my remark. My apologies for the digression.

It was a North American product, the company that defined the 50’s and 60’s with their products (mainly Saber and Vigilante). Add to that that Rocketdyne was an entity of NAA and you’d see that never in history a company ever has defined so much the future of aerospace (BAe if seen as a single entity could be but this could be revisionism by aglomerating the diversity of entities it was at the time)… Today, SpaceX and LM comes into mind but shsssssst.
