The estimated value for the sight was 2 million yen or about $18,000 US at the current exchange rate.
I have no idea if that’s a realistic estimate or not.
Now that’s hilarious !
I knew that Japanese collectors pay high or exorbitant prices for such collectibles, but this is way off.
If it’s in pristine, working condition, the above price divided by six (maybe five) would be more appropriate, but this US$ 18K ? Insane !
Revi Gunsights in perfect condition go between US$ 1’000 and 2’000, a US K-14 won’t sell above US$ 500.00.

Does anyone know how rare this item is?
I’d say VERY rare – in the last two years I have only seen one such gunsight appear on ebay and similar sites. There were dozens of German REVI types and many more RAF and USAAF / USN types, but those from Japan are pretty scarce.

Nope – the He-100’s were not employed during the BoB. Same goes for the “He-113” – this was the spurious designation given in a huge propaganda show by the Luftwaffe, showing these aircraft in many different disguises, carrying numbers and fake unit emblems. They also were announced as ‘night fighters’.
Of the few pre-production aircraft built (25) none saw actual combat but were used as so-called “Schutzstaffel” (= defense squadron) at Heinkel’s Marienehe plant.

I have a complete collection of “Signal” magazines and it is amazing, how often they appeared in print.
