there is a PR7 Canberra on cockpitclub website going for Β£950 if that helps? the extra Β£550 would go well toward restoring it π i wanted it but i dont have the luxury of money heh
YES!!!! right who’s up for buying XR220?
what is the point in second guessing who is who, this thread is about 558 not about who is who.
*sigh*

would definitely make an interesting addition to any museum π
where’s the link???
you know i completely agree with you there, it always mistifies me HOW what are treasures in most of our eyes end up dying slow and painful deaths where no one cares about them, and how these people find out about them before anyone else, its just rotten π
fair enough π im sure one day someone with enough money and time will make a real effort to put one back in the air here, bugatti veyron of the sky!!!
ill give you a chance to explain this blashphemy before we kick you off π haha, what dont you like about it? π
ahhh the E.E Lightning, british historic aviation’s forbidden fruit π
DAmn. The smell of Lightnings has faded.
Cheers BR – I struggle with the CAA website, letalone EASA’s nightmare…
i suppose of course that is if he could afford to fuel them at the huge amount of stops they would have to make to get here and back! π
XR220 TSR.2 Without a doubt, not only did she never prove her stuff, but compared to the P61 she’s a LOT rarer (only two left) and XR222 can hardly be classed as a complete aircraft! so TSR.2 Definitely to prove that we really did have a world beating aircraft
another star in the sky, passing of a true legend and hero, rest in peace
it seems that they have been a little short sighted, if what has been said is true? *digs hole and puts on flak helmet in preparation for coming barrage*
Hi everybody, my first post on this site due probably to everyoneβs fascination with buried treasure.
An earlier photo of the AW.55 Apollo in the Farnborough Comet enclosure posted by Mark12 (post 93) has caused me some wonderment.
Following the 1968 airshow armed with my Instamatic 100 in the fading light, I came across what I thought was said aircraft, but is it ?
The cabin windows are now round and there appear to be slight differences in their location, thatβs apart from the reduction in length. Can anyone solve the mystery or positively identify this relic.
Mark12βs picture followed by mine.
Hi, welcome to the forum π i can’t help you but there definitely will be someone here that can π
