Flying
I notice that the site doesn’t say anything (that I could see scanning through it, anyway) about it becoming an active flying site again. It mentions wildlife ponds, bird watching, conservation etc. These don’t always go hand in hand with airfield activities.

T-33
I would guess the other was the Aces Hgh aroplane. Certainly wasn’t WGHB.

Pledges
Just a thought, but what happens when half the people who pledged money suddenly realise that shoes for the kids and putting food on the plate is more important in these cash strapped times? By receiving a pledge they have not actually received any funds as I understand it. Receiving sufficient pledges is far from being the answer to the funding problem.

Hydromatic
I believe some Australian based Spitfire V’s were fitted with 3 blade DH Hydromatic units. Whether this was factory fit or done post delivery I could not say, but no doubt Mk12 will have more info.

Ludham Museum
Another tragedy was the failure of the Ludham Museum. That place had great prospects and was getting some good items on display including an A-26K Invader cockpit section on loan from the Cadman brothers. As I recall it was sold by the museum to two different individuals but was luckily repatriated by the Cadmans before it disappeared.
Tony White went on to be convicted of fraud (unrelated to the Ludham escapade) and subsequently spent time at Her Majesty’s pleasure. Few of us were sad to hear that.
Moderators, I fully understand if you wish to edit this posting.

Wyvern
Tony White did the deal with Tangmere who I understand gave it to Tony on the understanding he move the section within a couple of weeks to clear their place out. Tony then almost immediately traded it on to Phil, who left it on loan to the Ludham Museum. One week it was there, the next it was gone to the great hangar in the sky along with a great deal of other peoples stuff and Mr. White had dissapeared.
Anyone know what’s happening with the Ludham tower now?

Ludham Fuselage
Along with remains from other aircraft which didn’t belong to Tony White these remains were scrapped just before the Ludham museum was wound-up. They are, sadly, no more. Tony White was last heard of, upon release, in the London area but I don’t believe he was involved in anything aviation by that time.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Hi Anon, I have just checked my e-mails and there’s nothing there. I’ve dropped you a pm to confirm e-mail address.
Thanks,

Me too………..
Me as well, please! This could end up being quite a long thread!

Portsmouth Python
I may be mistaken as it’s been a long time, but I think the Python in the Marine Salvage yard was an ASX. Either way, hope it was saved.

de Havilland Prop Manuals
Would anyone have access to a set of overhaul manuals for a de Havilland Type PD170 propeller assembly. Thinking ahead to when the time comes to do something with ours we will of course need a copy of the appropriate manuals (and prop specific tools if anyone has them available). More than happy to pay of course.
Thanks,
G
Message
Thanks Luckyone. I sent you a private message via the forum on the 3rd.

Fiats
Thanks Anon, the prop diameter can be either 7 ft or 7 ft 6 inches (including the hub).

Bits
Yes please Anon. I haven’t heard from Luckyone. We’re going the British prop route anyway due to better spares availability (ie, there are spares!), so that will mean a dh spinner.
