I speak the following fluently:
Bengali (mother tongue)
English
Hindi/Urdu
I understand Punjabi, I can make out what people are generally saying in Pushto, I knew a good deal of French but recon I forgot a good deal 🙁 That’s another problem with my Pushto and Punjabi.
I can speak a bit of Chinese and am currently teaching myself Mandarin.
Oh and I can read arabic and know a hand full of words and phrases.
I’m really looking to learn Manadarin as fast as I can as I’m going on a trip to China this summer!
Every Tom Nick and Harry and “USS Novice” amongst others will now want to flame this thread as they can’t stand going back to their gooky Indian threads and its trail of failures. I would like to invite independent viewers to just look at the bottom of the thread at any given time and the nicks that are spending time viewing this thread. Its really fun to see the inferiority complex. Grow up and grow out of your Freudian insecurities. 🙂
Lately I have spent a lot of time researching the IL-2. I’ve been “traveling through time” so to speak, to find the perfect plane for ground attack and this is what I come up with. Wonder how an IL-2 could be brought into the 21st century. new avionics and cockpit. New engine, new weapons, more steamlined. I think it would still be the perfect balance for a ground pounder. HOwever, I’d like to employ them differently. 🙂
Quite stupid really. At least you get to have “heard” about radar evading cruise missiles now 🙂
I’m sure you can tell everyone where you went to school and why you don’t want to google, but I really am not interested in you. 🙂
probably want to stop covert recon missions into Iran if you don’t wanna get caught.
you probably need to reread my post –
Tphaung>>> any terrain hugging cruise missile is “radar evading”. Further, its got some kind of RAM coating.
I never claimed it was better than any other cruise missile, and neither am I an expert in what cruise missile does what.
If you don’t like a post, either argue against it or pass over it.
Oh, and if you have “never heard about” something next time, I’d try searching for the terms on google.
While I usually skip over your posts, here I spent 20 seconds to help you do your google search for you to see if the term radar evading cruise missiles come up anywhere:
McKnight said that the radar-evading missile “is by no means a ‘stealth’ cruise missile,” just an improved model that “looks very similar to its predecessor.”

I’m sure you’ll find the term elsewhere if you took the time to google it up. Thats all that I can really teach you for now, au revoir. 🙂

I have a suspicion that just like Europe has gone into joint development of technology, the Chinese et al have gone for a similar kind of joint technology development agreement. Last I heard, babur was being given to Turkey. I sincerely hope we can get Turkey on board, we’ll be unstoppable with Turkey’s R&D facilities further augmenting our technology base. (By our I mean some vague alliance of China et al). Too bad to you Europeans, your prejudices are not paying off any more, hopefully we can capitalize on that.
According to Janes its more like 250 now.
I love the high resolution images and the color scheme!
I think there still remains a huge gray area about stealth.. who knows, maybe fighters designed 20 years from now will think it passe as other means of tracking aircraft or better radars would have eliminated any hope of stealth being successful. Having said that, the best thing I like about the Raptor program is that its willing to take the bet and at least try to create an ubber fighter. Everyone else is playing a conservative strategy.
sorry for the late reply, busy with work!
its on idle that it over revs but just a bit. Thanks, I’ll get the airflow sensor checked. Meanwhile, I now have a European car (the Saab Grippen), an Asian car (A Toyota F-2) and an American Buick (now that’s more of an F-4). Though I’d likely sell the Buick off.

I think they should focus on being classic more than being on top of the technology chain. That’d reduce r&d and still get them sales.
