The admission prices will be comparable to similar size museums I am told. This will be a very much hands on museum with access to multiple cockpits.
We are looking for volunteers to do all sorts – at the moment we are all painting walls of the hangar (WW1 next to the tower).

The accommodation includes a shop (which we need to stock – pretty please!!) and a conference room etc.

The lovely Aviation Archaeology section of FP magazine was a reason I bought the magazine in the first place (Peter Moran did it)…..I thought they used a pen pic of P9374 emerging as their title badge?

Great idea! Can we all put some up?
If so, the attachment shows a stamp from a top hat from my Seafire cockpit (chunk of LA546) – South Marston Aircraft Factory

I am not sure why the admission prices are not up yet. Will enquire. Please note that this is a volunteer run museum and rent is not cheap!!

not sure. I think 597 should go to Cosford as she was always a test aircraft….but we might still get her

We would like to take a Phantom but it is unlikely given various issues….we shall see. The collections aircraft will move along with loaners including the lovely Meteor and someones lovely Hunter cockpits….!
We are seeking volunteers who can do anything from paperwork, guiding, restoration, cleaning you name it.
Also looking for stuff for the shop….old mags, books, kits etc.

sad to see the Toucan go…..my Grandad took me to see it after it arrived. As a 10year old it captivated me and I made a kit of a Ju52.
