Terrible. There are modern resins that are really good that if bronze dust is used in the ‘gel coat’ look the bees…..at least these scum bags would not profit. The other thing would be a tracker device

It does show fire damage.
I found one which might be close…..5th October 1940, 303 (Polish) Squadron. F/O Januszewicz his aircraft crashed in flames at Stowting, near Lyminge. Hurricane P3892.
I need to identify possible contenders and then see what was/has been recovered.

I agree TonyT…..I just do not accept that all the blame for the high prices and hard times for restorers of flying projects can be laid at the feet of ‘collectors’ and people like me!
Anyway….time for me to step away from this part of the thread.

Interesting post. The problem is not helped by non-airworthy parts being destroyed instead of being offered to static projects. Incidentally, what project are you rebuilding/flying?

The/the tyre were ECTA (electrically conducting….), it is useful for earthing as well as the ‘exit’ for a lightning strike
