Please don’t speculate guys….it is unhelpful, does not serve any purpose only to upset people and make armchair enthusiasts feel they have a rightful opinion, which in this case, they do not. That is why we have investigators.
I have been involved in aviation all my working life and such speculation is worthless.

Very skilful and superbly executed textbook belly landing. This has minimised damage – impressed and so pleased the pilot and aircraft are ok.

This seafire is one of my fav aircraft (probably due to my association with its previous owner when I was a youngster).

Sorry, but this is a dumb statement: [QUOTE=’lectra;1768406]I guess it won’t be at legends then? (sorry, somebody had to say it!)

Good news the pilot is ok, hopefully minimal damage to the aeroplane too.

    Superb set of photos.

Gingerboy has not actually set a deadline…just posed a question. I hope that he will set a realsistic deadline (i.e. more than a couple of days) and say how he wants bids (either by PM or postal)

    Tony,

The grip was run by me a Shoreham this year, at the book launch, and I just stuck it on blanket background and took a couple of quick images of the front for possible use in Vol.II.

Rightyho. I sent some pix of my Seafire cockpit at Cockpitfest to Gordon, do you know if he got em?
    cheers

There are some good similarities. Confusing!!! However, the big hole appears to have been refilled. I am surprised that the gun button tubes are cut….this implies the gun button has been removed and refitted or a new one fitted.
I was offered the Kenley grip a couple of years ago, but did not proceed.
Mark do you have any flip side photos? Can we be sure you photoed the one? In this case, a rock solid provenance back to the original owner would be required if I was bidding.

I would prefer if we had longer than that!! A week or 2 would be better IMHO.

To get the best deal, leaving it at least a week would allow those who would need to raise money the time!! Anyone want a lovely Mk6 Hunter?!

in this case, I think that Ebay is the way to go as it will find its appropriate level. A non shipping, UK only would be best as it is really UK heritage. I miss my old Lightning (that I had to sell after my divorce) so this one fits the bill!!!
