It is Miles Master front (student) spade grip….AH2040 as BS says…but differs from early 2040s by having a mag alloy grip casting.

Excellent program, excellent presentation, eminently watchable. The two brothers were great and their emotions and pride real. All this and at prime time on BBC1.

I cannot see any reason to criticise whatsoever…..

Many thanx Dave much appreciated. However, the huge work Mr & Mrs Fluffy did on the rest (and the co-author) has made it a fantastic book worthy of any book shelf!

Yes….I was contacted by the producers who were interested in my Spit cockpit. They were after a few, so I said yes and also proffered your name, Graham and Terry…..last I heard from them. But at least you got some work.

    great!
it has to be said that Stephen Grey’s joker routine in the Bearcat is one of the highlights for me! I watched Stefan Karowski fly the Bearcat at Mildenhall in the 80s….wow! It is testament to the aircraft and pilot that it is so exciting and exhilarating to watch.

he amuses me….i don’t think he deserves all the slagging off. He is a very experienced warbird pilot.

My only request is let the aircraft ‘speak’ for themselves every now and then. The engines sound gorgeous!

appears it is not the season of goodwill. I do not like usually like ‘spongers’ at airshows, however, if someone falls on hardtimes, I will not be the one to be unkind.

I am disappointed that this thread has become a slanging match. Reasoned discussion is one thing, insults are not really required.
