I too find it sad that they forget the other victims…always seems the case (witness 9/11 and the DH110 accident where they forgot the hapless FTO for two examples).
The drama documentary is disappointing with the blatant Antonov cockpit complete with Russian dials. Not sure if they really would have tried a second take off run after inexplicable power loss. Certainly heavy snow and ice gives many problems to aircraft.

    Powerful stuff…..

Looked full size to me….it was on show in the Avirex store painted red and was incredibly real looking….it went to OFMC for prep (IIRC) then off to the AAM where it is painted as OBBD….I have a photo of it somewhere

Should be still open….the museum has high overheads and is well worth the entrance…sadly it is off the beaten track….Ocean Village made it popular as one could have a bite and shp there then hop to museum….relocation would ne best imho

Cheers…he will be at CockpitFest…..I have joint custody of a Westie…they are great….both breeds have top personalities though Westies are noisier and Scotties are a little more slower…both are loyal and have personalities greater than their small size

Cheers all…..I am not a football fan, but have always found this tragic accident sad. The two progss last night were very good, but seeing the smiling faces of young stars cut short was very very sad. As the hero goalie said…Those families lost rising beautiful stars.

I think my question was wrongly asked, sorry but I have been at home looking after my 8 week scottie puppy, which makes writing coherent emails very difficult! He is at last asleep so here I am….basically, I was interested in finding out which aircraft they had flown in during the period of that year….it would be nice if they had flown in the aircraft that had the nameplate I had. I would then create a museum display that would appeal to non aviation enthusiasts that come to the museum.

    The aircraft involved was Airspeed A.S.57 Ambassador 2 G-ALZU (c/n 5217)
The a/c was delivered to British European Airways 05 March 1952 Elizabeth Class name Lord Burgley. BEA operated 21 a/c between 1952 and 1958.

    Planemike…………..

Thanx but would we know which others they have flown in?
