Our first day at Oshkosh was the tuesday and we enjoyed chatting with everybody and photographing the Stangs including DonnaMite. The pilot executed (as part of a four ship) a lovely and fitting missing man formation and went off towards Fond du Lac.

Either I, or more likely, Geedee will post a piccy of Donnamite et al in happier times on Tuesday.

I think that lessons can be learned from everything. It does worry me. If you were chased by people in normal clothes with guns, would you run?…..if that was the circumstances? Difficult.
I understand STK being used when there are very strong indications that someone may have a bomb (that he could detonate if not prevented). Sad….but I mostly support police in this difficult time.

Wouldn’t the silverware & squadron ‘trophys’ go into the care of the Air Historical Branch, until a new squadron was reformed with that number?

It is nice in a world that can sometimes be so horrible that rays of sunshine can shine through..pleased for you Steve, Julie & Ashley….take care forumites….remember we all have one great thing in common historic aviation.

As I write this my lot has improved after two horrible years (won’t bore you), I have my girls for the weekend which is fantastic fun, one negative…the dog (an adorable Westie who I have joint custody of) has just produced her own body weight in smelly gufff…..gotta smile! gotta open the door quick!
