It is a full dual control arrangement. See the link to the Pioneer website for more information:
Hi, if you buy them in USA they will next to useless as they are popular and all the frequencies block up with the amount of talk going on over the airwaves. The UK models have a very slightly different frequency range which means that technically you should not use them but in reality you will not interfere with any other frequency. The staff (I am one) ground comms and aircraft use completely different frequencies. BTW – they do not have to be licenced (same as UK).
Nice stuff, like the new paint on PZ865 a LOT…where’s LF363?
Looks superb! Just one question though – the blue on the roundels and fin flash looks sort of pale and faded, is this just the screen image?
I suspected as much – thanks Erez 🙂
BBC weather outlook is looking good for the weekend (very good for Sunday in particular) – sun cream may be needed.
Hi Mark, thanks and yes I should have said excluding MH434 as it has at least had a major refurbishment (perhaps not as far as a ground up re-build but major work nontheless).
A quick look in to ‘Spitfire Survivors’ shows this Spitfire was delivered in May 1945 so is now exactly 60 years old. Is this the only Spitfire to have remained in airworthy condition since manufacture and has never been through a major re-build?
Nice photos – but can’t help wondering when OFMC will get the incorrect roundels on MH434 sorted out?
Actually NASCAR racing indirectly keeps a number of P-51’s flying.
RAAF ‘Lancasters’ if you believe the captions
Very nice and interesting photos nonetheless, thanks Martin.
I saw a Thompson bowser in a skip at North Weald a year or so ago.
Some superb Skyraider colour pictures in that link, thanks!
Sorry Bruce, looks like you may well be right – they look just like the ones in the link. Thanks to all who have responded to this, particularly Webpilot for the picture link.
I think Hellcat wheels have rounded section spokes, possibly Corsair. Maybe P-47?
I am pretty sure they are not Mustang wheels (thats what they were captioned as).
I can feel a trip to Duxford Hangar 2 approaching.
Can someone explain the direct link between pilfering/mindless vandalism and allowing visitors to take photos?
The photo aspect is, preumably, concerned with reducing ‘theft to order’, a much more sophisticated and pre-meditated activity.
