I was going to go today but only found out from the web site that the tower museum is closed today . Why ?? I am off to the aeromodeler weekend at Old Warden instead. The closure may be due to Army restrictions ? but cannot see the logic.

It is remarkably preserved . Items like the rubber hoses,tyres and electrical parts will be of interest to the aviation industry in how they have survived the heat of the desert since 1942. The cockpit photo in the Daily Telegraph yesterday was amazing .

Liked the black and white footage of Bodney . His brother William R Preddy served with the 503FS, 339th Fighter Group at Fowlmere and claimed 2 enemy aircraft 02 Mar 45.
The 3 day Rushden Transport Cavalcade has also been cancelled as the field is water logged. Its May fed up with this weather 🙁

NV997 spent all its life with the makers Hawkers at Langley . Most were scrapped in 1955 at Aston Down.
