Agree thanks to DCW and all contributors keeping us posted on Duxford. It is a roundtrip of 100 miles for me and with admission costs one has to balance the books. Thank you.

Good write up Howard and glad it went well. Apparently Roger Cole has more unpublished poems from John Magee so will be of future interest to aviation and poetry readers.

Amazon very good if the book is in stock not so if they have to get from other sources you will have a long wait. I approached the publisher for a softback far quicker direct.

I have a 42 page booklet called “Hanworth Air Park 1916-1949” produced by the Feltham Arts Asociation in 1992 for £3. Copies might still be available from the local studies Hounslow library.

A point raised earlier was the number of work related deaths will increase as we work to age 70 . Has the government thought of the strain that work related stress and age will put on the NHS ? They are already suffering with liver disease at its highest due to binge-drinking. Best job for the future seems to be in undertakers ? 😮

Would like any details of the Spitfire Magee was flying on 11 Dec 1941 was it clipped wing or tapered ? for a model project.
I am having a kneeop on Friday Dec 09th so unable to attend. Could organisers please pm any details of programme or com booklet available as I would like a copy ?
