    Exactly. No booze on a long haul flight would be a real pain.

    Plus, people could always sneak duty free booze into their soft drinks….

    I only travel business class..i like the extra seat and leg room and the meals are far superior to cattle class..if someone was upgraded from the rear end and sat next me when they have only paid the economy price…I’d be most annoyed

    And I’d be most pleased 😉

    I regularly flew on the Fokker 70/100 service from NCL to AMS last year, and yeah…it’s hardly business class is it. Ooh a curtain, a paper and a breadbun :p

    Indeed. However I fear that may somewhat remove the budget factor from the trip….which incidentally is the only reason I can go!

    I wan’t better for nothing. Hey, I can dream can’t I :p

    Good point about the cheap fares, I didn’t see the usual miles info as it’s not directly KLM…I’ve no idea how many miles I will get for it!

    I got bored yesterday and after reading some rediculous blog entires on the plane stupid website, I decided to fire off an email to their web host to raise the fact that the site was breaking their T’s&C’s….and this morning I recieved this, result!

    “Dear Sirs,

    Thank you for contacting us regarding the above.

    Please note that we have contacted our customer and requested that they
    make contact with us and take immediate action to remove the illegal and
    defamatory content from their website.

    We have stipulated a deadline for removal to be made by Tuesday 23rd
    December 2008 at 12noon and should our customer fail to make contact and
    take action as we have requested we shall take any
    action we deem necessary to rectify the matter which will include to
    shut down the website.

    We trust that the above is to your satisfaction but please do not
    hesitate to contact us should you have any further questions or require
    any further assistance from us.

    “Newcastle-Gateshead” is just a PR thing really, often with relation to the regeneration on the Quayside etc. They are still separate!

    I’m sure it’s just Gateshead council wanting to piggy back on Newcastle to make themselves seem better and a more attractive place to live :p
