They’re all buried under my back garden, allegedly.

Whilst on the subject of the monument, I’d just like to say that as promised in my thread re the disposal of my complete set of FlyPast, the money raised (£100) has duly been sent off to the BoBHS, to sponsor ten names on the monument. One is a local airman, the other nine I asked the BoBHS to chose. I’m looking forward to seeing who they’ve picked for me.
We will be having at least one more signing event at the museum to raise funds for the monument (to add to the £4,300 we’ve already raised) when we open in April. I will of course post full details here when the time comes.

Should have come to us on the 3rd October, they were doing seven signatures for £10 then. 🙂

Steve,
I emailed RDF Media twice last month to ask this question, but recieved no reply to either email.
An email has been sent to Channel four re if there will be a release of ‘Spitfire Ace’ on DVD/video. It seems that it can take up to four weeks for a reply, so don’t hold your breath.

Hendon have been selling it for the same price for a while I believe.
Mind you, like all books it does contain errors, I have been told that one or two of the photos are not of the right person, and John Lansdell is given as ‘Landsdell’ throuout his entry.
Never the less it is an invaluable reference book, but do cross check the info with other sources if you can.
